KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - U.S. Army Contracting Command employee Harry W. Shatto was recognized for his service to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Afghanistan Engineer District-South with several awards during a Sept. 27 ceremony.

Shatto, a contracting specialist deployed from ACC's Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Belvoir, Va., was presented with the Commanders Award for Civilian Service, the Global War on Terrorism Civilian Service Medal, the NATO Medal and the Command Sergeant Major's coin.

According to USACE officials, these awards and decorations are a reflection of Shatto's dedication and service in support of USACE's mission in Afghanistan, and his commitment to delivering projects that help improve security and governance in Afghanistan.
