WHAT: U.S. Army Contracting Command, Command Sergeant Major Change of Responsibility Ceremony

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, 12 p.m. CDT. Media should arrive at Gate 10 Patton Road no later than 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala --Jeffrey P. Parsons, ACC executive director, will host a Change of Responsibility Ceremony for the Army Contracting Command's command sergeant major, Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The outgoing ACC command sergeant major is Command Sgt. Maj. Tony L. Baker, who has served with ACC since March 2008.

The incoming ACC command sergeant major is Command Sgt. Maj. John L. Murray, who has served as the Expeditionary Contracting Command's command sergeant major since January 2009. ECC is also headquartered at Redstone Arsenal.

ACC provides global contracting support to Soldiers through the full spectrum of military operations. ACC consists of more than 5,700 military and civilian personnel who award and manage more than 261,000 contract actions annually valued at more than $92.9 billion.

** There will be a media opportunity with Command Sergeant Major John L. Murray, incoming Command Sergeant Major for ACC immediately following the ceremony.
