Fort Campbell running back Chris Allen (4) blasts through an opening created by his offensive line in the Newport Central Catholic defense, to pick up a first down for the Falcons during the Kentucky Class 2A state football championship Saturday at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, Ky. Allen scored the first touchdown of the game at the 7:30 mark in the second quarter, and Fort Campbell was on its way to winning the school's first football championship since 1979 by defeating the Thoroughbreds 21-7.

Durrante's romp in to the end zone put Fort Campbell up 21-7 with 2:54 left in the game, and ended any hope the Thoroughbreds had of another state title. Following the contest, Durrante was named the game's Most Valuable Player.
