Angie Moshammer has been with Army Europe contracting since 1978. She began as a translator, working her way up to procurement analyst with the 409th Contracting Support Brigade based in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
In her current job, Moshammer acts as the business advisor on acquisition matters to Army Europe elements with emphasis on the use of acquisition-related enterprise business systems.
She provides guidance to internal and external customers on systems from a functional/
operational/regulatory aspect on Standard Procurement System, Electronic Data Access, PRweb, Central Contractor Registration, Wide Area Work Flow, Contractor Performance and Assessment
System, Army Single Face to Industry, Federal Procurement Data System and Next Generation.
She is Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III certified and is often assigned to special projects including various base maintenance contracts, conversion of cost contracts into
Firm Fixed Price hybrid type, team leader simplified acquisition and functional system administration.
She is currently focused on Europe General Funds Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) - Standard Procurement System fielding, and is in continuous coordination with Enterprise Business Systems Division at Secretary of the Army, Army Business Center for Acquisition Systems, team GFEBS, Defense Finance and Accounting Service and Financial Management Command on the Europe specific issues.
Moshammer, a German national, has lived in Heidelberg, Germany, for the last 35 years.
When asked how she spends her spare time, Moshammer replied, "What is spare time? There is none if you deal with GFEBS in Europe, ... should there be time again, read, travel and party."
When asked how her job supports Soldiers, Moshammer comments, "I provide help for 51Cs (Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology NCOs), support the changing crews at JCC (Joint Contracting Center) - Kosovo, and hopefully broaden the understanding for P2P (Procure-to-Pay) and the necessity for data integrity."
