MOLINE, Ill. - A color guard made up of three Soldiers from the U.S. Army Sustainment Command (ASC) and one Canadian softball player displays the flags of the United States and Canada as the national anthems for both countries are played during the opening ceremony for the International Softball Congress (ISC) World Tournament on Aug. 14 at Greenvalley Sports Complex in Moline, Ill. Sgt. 1st Class John Rankin holds the American flag; holding the Canadian flag is Ryan Wolfe, team captain of the Jarvis (Ontario) Travelers, winners of the tournament in 2010. They are flanked by Sgt. 1st Class Willie Jordan (left) and Sgt. 1st Class Frank Henry. Joining the color guard on the field are recent inductees into the ISC Hall of Fame, the umpires who will officiate tournament games, and players from the 46 teams from the United States and Canada competing in the tournament. Tournament play will end with the championship game on Aug. 20.
