The U.S. Army Military District of Washington invites you to experience The U.S. Army’s Spirit of America in Washington, D.C., North Charleston, S.C., and Jacksonville, Fla., this September. Spirit of America is a free, action-packed show performed by more than 300 Soldiers of the U.S. Army’s elite ceremonial units " the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” from Fort Myer.
Spirit of America chronicles not only the eventful 236 year history of the U.S. Army, but also commemorates the bravery, sacrifice, values and strong character of the many Americans who have answered the call to duty. The two-hour show uniquely combines traditional military ceremony with a large scale theatrical production, creating a stirring performance that showcases military discipline, historical reenactments, along with traditional and modern music. Tickets are free, there is no limit to the number you can request, and they are available now. There are several ways to request free tickets. Sign language interpreters will be available at each of the performances.
