The Ukraine will host the European Football Championship matches in June next year, and the Director of the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency is looking for information from the Joint Forces Headquarters - National Capital Region and the U.S. Army Military District of Washington to assist their planning.

Rostyslav Valikhnovsky, Director of the Ukrainian Ministry of Emergency was briefed by JFHQ-NCR/MDW Deputy Commander, Egon Hawrylak, on the capabilities and mission of the JFHQ-NCR/MDW within the national capital region.

The Ukrainian delegation is visiting the United States under the sponsorship of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency regarding matters of emergency management and response. The Ukrainians want to improve their emergency management and communications skills regarding their preparations for the European Football Championship matches to be held in their country during June, 2012. Other federal agencies briefed the group during their visit in Atlantic City and New York.
