REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala.--Friday afternoon brought a new era for the Integrated Fire Control Product Office.
Lt. Col. Kenny Johnson succeeded Lt. Col. Jason Galindo as the product manager in a change of charter ceremony at Bob Jones Auditorium. This was followed by a retirement ceremony for Galindo, culminating his more than 24 years of service.
“This is the greatest country in the world,” Galindo, a native Texan, said. “All I ever wanted to do was serve and be a Soldier.”
He and his wife, Tonya, have a son, Joshua, and two daughters, Danielle and Gabrielle.
Johnson accepted the charter for the product office, part of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Project Office within the Program Executive Office for Missiles and Space. He previously served as the functional area contracting proponent officer in the acquisition career development division of the Army Acquisition Support Center at Fort Belvoir, Va.
“I know this is a great team I’m about to join,” said Johnson, originally from Portsmouth, Va.
He and his wife, Terri, have two sons, Nicholas and Zachary.
