FORT RUCKER, Ala. -- Fort Rucker’s one-stop shop for visual information is as close as your computer.

By visiting the MVISC website on the Fort Rucker Intranet, customers can access information to help with everything from photos to graphics, self-help and presentation support, and the professional staff at the Multimedia Visual Information Service Center ensures its products and service are “above the best.”

“We strive to provide our customers with not only quality products, but the highest caliber of service,” said Victoria Flowers, training support officer.

Official Photography Services provides field photography for graduations, historical occasions and significant events, as well as studio Department of Army official, passport and head and shoulder photography.

“Our MVISC activity actively participates in the Department of Army Photo Management Information System, the Army’s digital repository for official promotion photos,” said Carlton Wallace, photographer.

“DA photos can be viewed at the DAPMIS Web site within three days of successful DAPMIS processing. The facility is fully digital with the final output as either full color prints or images saved to CD,” he added.

“We offer photographic prints ranging in size from 4- by 6-inches, 5- by 7-inches, 8- by 10-inches, 11- by 14-inches and 11- by 17-inches, and provide three copies per original and images on compact disc, two copies per work request,” Wallace added.

MVISC also operates and maintains a video production facility producing local and non-local visual information productions, taping of authorized events and functions and audio tapes and multimedia products.

Those people controlling the cameras and sound systems at installation prayer breakfasts and other special events are also from MVISC.

“Our Presentation Services staff provides setup, operation, and tear down of public address systems and video presentation equipment for official indoor and outdoor events that require audio/video support, such as briefings, ceremonies, conferences and graduations,” Flowers said.

“Graphic Services provides a broad range of visual media products and services by highly skilled professional graphic artists, including, but not limited to, digital camera-ready mechanicals; brochures; complex charts and posters; large format scanning; graphic print sizes less than 11- by 14-inches; and large format printing up to the standard size of 24- by 36-inches, including three copies per original,” she said.

Larger formats are available on a reimbursable basis. Laminating and mounting services on cardboard or foam core are also available, Flowers added.

Customer can view a library of available graphics and insignia at the Service Center, Building 536.
