Colonel Arthur Weeks III assumed command of Regional Support Command-Capital from Air Force Col. Robert Wicks Jr. in a change of command ceremony at Camp Phoenix’s Patriot Square in Kabul, Afghanistan July 5. The command’s higher headquarters is Deputy Commander, Regional Support, NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan/Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan.

Supporting more than 80,000 Afghan National Security Force personnel, RSC-C creates enduring capacity and capability to train, sustain, maintain and equip the Army and Police forces in the Province of Kabul and Kabul, the nation’s capital. Wicks has been commander since August 2010 and will be the deputy director for the Air Force International Training and Education Center, San Antonio, Texas.
