Army Family Covenant Signed in Vicenza

CASERMA EDERELE, Italy - Surrounded by Army Families for which it is written, Maj. Gen. Frank Helmick, Southern European Task Force commander, displays the Army Family Covenant he had just signed Nov. 2 with Col. Virgil Williams, U.S. Army Garrison Vicenza commander, and their respective command sergeants major, Command Sgt. Maj. Earl Rice and Command Sgt. Maj. Keith Filipp. The covenant is a document introduced by the secretary of the Army and the Army chief of staff stating the Army\'s commitment to caring for Soldiers and their families. The signing ceremony included a briefing about the many programs and funding the Army has already brought to the Vicenza military community, and the showing of the Army Family video.
