Non military leadership courses announced for fiscal year 2012 designed to broaden officer experien

The U.S. Army Human Resources Command has announced the Non-Military Education Level, or Non-MEL, Programs for fiscal year 2012. These programs are designed to enhance the leadership skills of Army officers and otherwise broaden their experience.

Among others, Non-MEL programs include:

* the Army Congressional Fellowship;

* the Joint Chief of Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the Department of Army Staff, or JCS/OSD/ARSTAF, Intern Program;

* the HQDA G-3/5 Strategic Education and Development Program (Harvard); and

* the Olmsted Scholarship Program.
