Josie and Kylie, who belong to Girl Scout Troop 665, received the Girl Scout Silver Award for their volunteer efforts at the kennel. The award is the highest a Girl Scout Cadette (girls in grades six, seven and eight) can receive. To attain this award, Cadettes complete a series of leadership challenges and an extensive service project in their communities.
