Creating crafts builds life skills

Connie Schley, Child, Youth and School Services pre-kindergarten assistant teacher, helps children in her class do arts and crafts April 29. The crafts, which included planting seeds and making a necklace, a door hanger and a picture frame, gave the children a break from normal academics and also served to help the children develop their fine motor skills, creativity and ability to follow directions and sequences.
