PRESIDIO OF MONTEREY, Calif. - Children from Shoreline Church in Monterey wondered what they could do to boost the morale of deployed service members. What they came up with was 500 hand-crafted Valentine's cards. The Presidio of Monterey's 229th Military Intelligence Battalion Family Readiness Program assistant and the Guard and Reserve component liaison worked to get the cards to the troops in Afghanistan, and they were mailed Jan. 28.
