Led by members of the Modeling and Analysis Team, Technology, Systems and Program Integration Directorate of the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center, the multi-agency Infantry Warrior Simulation Development Team won an Army Modeling and Simulation Award for Fiscal Year 2010.

The Center for Army Analysis at Fort Belvoir, Va., announced that the IWARS Development Team won the team award in the Cross Cutting Category after the selection board evaluated 58 nominations.

The team also included researchers, analysts and software engineers from the Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity, the Army Research Laboratory - Human Research and Engineering Directorate, and Technology Solutions Experts, Inc.

To earn this prestigious award, the IWARS Development Team had to meet every technical hurdle with enthusiasm, spirited cooperation, and innovative thinking. In doing so, they have fostered a collaborative environment that serves as an example for other inter-agency teams within the Modeling and Simulation community.

The award was presented Nov. 30, 2010, at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Fla.
