FORT SILL, Okla.-- Command Sgt. Maj. Dwight Morrisey has been selected as the new U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill command sergeant major. He replaces Command Sgt. Maj. Joseph Smith in late January. Morrisey is currently the 428th Field Artillery Brigade command sergeant major here. Prior assignments include duty as a first sergeant and battalion command sergeant major at Fort Hood, Texas, along with previous leadership positions at Fort Bragg, N.C., and Camp Stanley, South Korea. Smith will deploy in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in February after serving more than two and a half years as the FCoE and Fort Sill command sergeant major.
