Soldiers from the Army Sustainment Command at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill. gave keynote speeches at numerous ceremonies in Iowa and Illinois as a part of Veterans Day which took place Nov. 11. Area veterans from previous and present conflicts were honored for their service at American Legion posts, schools, city parks, parades, local monuments, and the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery.
