The Army Sustainment Command took its story on the road to the Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exposition, Oct. 25-27, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, D.C. The ASC "Navigator" exhibit featured a replica of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle driver\'s compartment, complete with dashboard. Turning the MRAP's steering wheel led participants to a series of short vignettes outlining ASC missions, which were shown on the display's virtual windshield. The display was developed to raise awareness of ASC's many missions while depicting the command's support to warfighters. The ASC display was part of the Army Materiel Command's exhibit, which contained a number of displays from other organizations, such as the Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, the Joint Munitions Command, and the Army Contracting Command. The event attracted thousands of visitors to more than 400 exhibits. In addition, AUSA sponsored a series of speeches, panel discussions and briefings on the state of the U.S. Army, its future, and its programs to strengthen Families during a period of persistent conflict.
