The Army Exhibit at the Association of the U.S. Army Annual Meeting

What is it'

The Army Exhibit at Booth 1775 is the premier U.S. Army display at the 2010 Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting & Exposition, held Oct. 25-27, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. Soldiers are the centerpiece of the exhibit's dynamic multimedia experience. Diverse presentations at this professional development venue help broaden understanding and build trust in why America's Army is the strength of the nation.

What has the Army done'

The Army's accomplishments during the year will be highlighted through displays and presentations that feature the Soldier and their professionalism, while also highlighting other "Faces of Strength" that make America's Army the strength of the nation. The social media presentation will demonstrate how the Army is using social media to connect us and strengthen our mission effectiveness. Visitors will also learn how the Army uses social media to reach family, friends and others to better tell the Army story. Visitors to Warriors Corner will be able to see 16 live, varied presentations from speakers sharing their experiences and lessons learned. By viewing two stirring videos in the Strength of the Nation Theater, visitors will enhance their understanding of the commitment and sacrifice members of our Army Family have made through their service.

Why is this important to the Army'

The Army Exhibit is a key communication platform for the Army's key themes: Restoring Balance; Modernizing the Force; Building Resiliency; Adapting our Institutions; and Maintaining our Combat Edge. A few minutes spent at the Army Exhibit will reinforce the Army's current strategic priorities.

What is planned for the future'

The Army will maintain a suite of exhibits available to support forums from large conventions to special event off-sites. Video products will be available Army-wide to commanders, leaders and public affairs officers for further dissemination in support of their local public affairs programs.
