Name: Rachel S. Howard, program analyst, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, Huntsville, Ala.

Age: 50

Hometown: Sylacauga, Ala., but now settled in Madison, Ala.

Years of federal service: 31 years (began as a University of Alabama co-op student with NASA. Hired full time with the Army upon college graduation in 1982)

Education: Master's degree in systems management

Marital status: Divorced (happily I might add, LOL)

Children: One daughter

Activities/hobbies: Steelers football, "quote board" at work, scrapbooking, reading, travelling and chilling

Favorite movie: Any movie with Terrence Howard in it

Favorite TV show: The Closer

Favorite band: Charlie Wilson (The Gap Band)

Favorite thing about working for the Army: Making a difference in the lives of our Warfighters. Also, I take extreme pride in the values and integrity that are perceived and understood by the general population by working for the Department of the Army.

What made you want to work for the Army: Family tradition and job security.
