There are several options for RIA Service Members, Family Members, DoD employees, and retirees to receive their vaccine this year:

Rock Island County Health Department has their vaccine on hand and will begin regular flu clinics Oct. 5-28. The cost is $30. For more information please visit: http://www.co.rock-island.il.us/HealthHome.aspx

The vaccine is also available through many hospitals, doctors, and other commercial sources, such as drugstores, supermarket pharmacies, etc. with the cost begin anywhere from $26 - $30+. Please contact your local health care provider or preferred pharmacy for more information.

In addition, the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) issued an interim final rule authorizing TRICARE retail network pharmacies to administer season influenza [sic vaccine] at no cost to TRICARE beneficiaries. Service Members who receive influenza vaccinations from non-military sources will provide immunization documentation to the unit's MEDPROS point of contact no later than the next duty day following vaccination. For more information on this option, contact your local TRICARE advisor or your command surgeon.

Additional information on influenza vaccinations and availability will be published when received. Please contact ROCK-EOC@us.army.mil for additional information.
