The Joint Forces Headquarter-National Capital Region/J34 and Ft. Myer emergency manager are hosting an Emergency Management EXPO with hands-on activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 28 on the lawn just south of the Ft McNair Officer's Club.

Visit the exhibitor's booths and tables to receive information and participate in emergency preparedness activities. These will include a fire extinguisher simulator, weather forecasting, emergency kit building, and route planning. You may also sign up to receive emergency weather and road blockage notifications, and much more.

The Officer's Club will set up an outdoor refreshment station on the lawn directly across from the club selling morning coffee and pastries and lunch specials such as grilled burgers, hotdogs, chips, etc.

Exhibitors at this year's EXPO include HSEMA with their Mobile Command Post;

Ft. Myer Fire Dept. with a fire extinguisher simulator; Pentagon Federal Credit Union with information on financial disaster preparedness; Army Community Service JBM-HH; Va. Dept. of Emergency Management; WMATA (Metro); Ft. Myer Safety; Md. Emergency Management Agency; American Red Cross; FEMA; 121WF/DCANG with a mobile weather forecasting unit and the Andrews AFB Family Support Center.
