Six new employees joined the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command Sept. 13.

Nick Westenhofer and Avis Charley joined the command as information technology specialists.

The badging office is one of the first and most important stops during inprocessing. Here is where new employees receive an operational security brief before receiving their building access badge.

Despite a number of job cuts across the Army, Redstone Arsenal is expected to acquire a net gain of 1,638 positions, according to the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure recommendations. The total military construction here is expected to be $209.4 million.
