
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Attendees of the 13th Annual Space and Missile Defense Conference saluted Warfighters with a toast during a reception at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala., Aug. 18.
Lt. Gen. Kevin T. Campbell, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command commanding general, led the toast with Command Sgt. Maj. Larry Turner, USASMDC/ARSTRAT command sergeant major, by his side.
Campbell spoke of the hard work, dedication and countless contributions of all our Warfighters across the globe.
USASMDC/ARSTRAT 2010 Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Staff Sgt. James Harris, USASMDC/ARSTRAT 2010 Soldier of the Year Spec. Matthew McLeod, Kyle Ramsey, and Spec. Jason Scarborough were honored during the event.
Harris and McLeod will represent USASMDC/ARSTRAT Oct. 17-22 at the 2010 DA Best Warrior Competition at Fort Lee, Va.
Ramsey and Scarborough are employed at USASMDC/ARSTRAT under the Wounded Warrior Program.
Speaking of the honorees, Campbell said, "These gentlemen behind me are great examples of AmericaAca,!a,,cs Army, and I am honored to have them as part of SMDC.
