News Release -- Training and Doctrine Command induction ceremony for Mr. Michael D. Formica, G-3/5/7

Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, commanding general of TRADOC, is scheduled to host the induction ceremony of Michael D. Formica, assistant deputy chief of staff, G- 3/5/7, August 19 from 9:30a.m to 10:00 a.m. at Continental Park on Fort Monroe, Va.

Formica retired at the rank of Colonel following 27 years of service in 2009 and was selected to the Senior Executive Service in July 2010. As the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff G- 3/5/7, he is responsible for planning and overseeing the daily operations of the TRADOC institutional training base, including developing and implementing plans to expand and mobilize the training base in support of joint warfighting commanders through Army Force Generation. Formica oversees Joint and Collective training initiatives and global Security Assistance training. He also serves as the Functional Chief's Representative for Civilian Career Program-32, Training Capabilities, and Doctrine Warfighting Developers.

In the event of inclement weather, an indoor ceremony will be held in the Post Theater on Fort Monroe. The induction ceremony is free and open to the public.
