Employees at the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command learned how to properly use exercise equipment during a Fitness Life Improvement Program July 28 at the command.

Morale, Welfare and Recreation employees Angie Smith, recreation specialist, and Phylissa Shannon, sports specialist, demonstrated each machine in the command's fitness room and answered questions from employees.

"The employees had some really good questions. They were on point to help maximize individual workouts," Smith said. "If you know how to use the equipment properly, you'll have a much more efficient and effective workout."

USASMDC/ARSTRAT employee Christina Ryan, associate director, Office of Small Business Programs, said the demonstration was informative.

"Not only did they demonstrate each piece of equipment, they ensured we knew how to exercise in a smart, common sense way," Ryan said.
