Maj. Gen. Karl R. Horst, commander, Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region and The U.S. Army Military District of Washington was the host for Interagency Partners on July 28, 2010 to visit The Center for National Response in West Virginia.

Interagency Partners had the opportunity to observe training associated with the 911th Engineer Company/12th Aviation Battalion (collapsed structure, vertical, confined space, and mine rescue).

The visit provided a unique opportunity to learn about the 911th Engineer Company/12th Aviation Battalion approach in managing crisis in support of civil authorities. The Center of National Response is an operational component of the Joint Interagency Training & Education Center (JITEC) that is a National Guard training activity operated by the Chief, National Guard Bureau and the Adjutant General of West Virginia.

The training complex provides multi-scenario exercises for the military or joint operations with military and first responders.
