Students explore military challenges

The 7th Military Explorer Division sponsors a year-long program that helps prepare youth aged 11-18 interested in joining the military by inviting them to attend military fundamental classes. Aided by Army Sustainment Command Soldiers, youngsters also studied first aid and took part in weeklong field exercises. Twenty-six participants from Illinois and Iowa camped out at RIA July 7-11. The explorers participated in military activities, received a tour of Army Sustainment Command operations center and were given tank rides.
