"Black Jack" honored for hosting Single Soldier Festival

FORT HOOD, Texas- Col. John Peeler (far right), commander, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, and Command Sgt. Maj. Emmett Maunakea (second right), received a 50-inch television on behalf of "Black Jack" Soldiers from the Fort Hood Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program, July 6, for the effort the brigade put into planning and hosting the Fort Hood Single Soldiers' Festival.

Donald Felt, Fort Hood garrison command, July 6 about the success of the Fort Hood Single Soldiers' Festival, which took place at the Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area, June 11.
