FORT RUCKER, Ala. -- Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff invite Fort Rucker Soldiers and Families to begin their Independence Day weekend celebrations poolside July 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Splash! located behind The Landing.

The Splash! Independence Day Pool Party features children's balloon battles by the volleyball court, music by the Regulars Band and various foods at the Tiki Bay on the upper deck.

"We love to help our military Families celebrate," said Lori Ciranni, sports specialist fitness manager. "Our lifeguards and our entire MWR team are ready to help Families have a memorable day at Splash! We're looking forward to seeing our Fort Rucker Families come out and spend the day at Splash! and then hope to see them later at Freedom Fest - two great parties in one day celebrating our nation's independence."

Jon Cole, DFMWR Aquatics Manager, echoed Ciranni's sentiments.

"Families should attend this event because it is an incredible facility, hosting a fantastic band on a superb day followed by extraordinary fireworks just a couple of blocks away," he said. "The DFMWR Sports, Fitness and Aquatics Branch is very excited to be hosting multiple parties at Splash! this season. It means a lot to our management team and staff to have the opportunity to provide quality recreational activities to the Soldiers and Families of the Fort Rucker community."
