Secretary of the Army visits FORSCOM

FORT MCPHERSON, Ga. (June 24, 2010)-Secretary of the Army John McHugh arrived at Headquarters, U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) earlier today, to attend a series of presentations from FORSCOM Commander Gen. James D. Thurman and other FORSCOM officials. The purpose of the secretary's visit was for him to enhance his knowledge of FORSCOM's mission and current operations. Briefing topics included FORSCOM's role as an Army Command and an Army Service Component Command,  the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) process, and the operational transition of the Reserve Component.
