An officer with the 10th Iraqi Army Division's commando battalion teaches fellow Iraqi soldiers how to conduct air assault operations at Contingency Operating Station Garryowen, Iraq, June 9. The unit training was assisted by several U.S. units, including the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Strategic Transition Team, and the Operational Detachment Alpha, who provided oversight and helped with scheduling the partnership training done by the Iraqis.
