ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. -- The Army's scientific and engineering community will showcase technology, research and development contract opportunities during a two-day event at a local college.

The showcase will be June 16-17 at the Harford Community College Amoss Center in Bel Air, Md.

Officials said they hope the event "brings together leaders from across Aberdeen Proving Ground with a focus on technology transfer promotion."

Many private companies are interested in tech transfer, collaborative projects and government contracts. The showcase is aimed at such companies, entrepreneurs, independent and academic researchers, inventors and current or potential contractors.

"The showcase will serve as an opportunity to highlight the technologies that exist throughout Aberdeen Proving Ground with a particular focus on C4ISR, chemical biological domains, and research and development and test and evaluation domains," said Research, Development and Engineering Command spokesman Robert DiMichele.

Opening remarks will be presented by Harford Community College President Dr. James LaCalle with a keynote presentation by Tracey Pinson, Army Small Business director.

Visitors will be able to view static displays, technology demonstrations and listen to many presentations on contracting and partnership opportunities.

Executive Director to the Commanding General Gary Martin, RDECOM, will present closing remarks both days.

For information, contact DiMichele at (410) 436-8797.
