Soldiers Honored at Awards Breakfast

The 78th League of United Latin American Citizens had their National Convention at an awards breakfast at Navy Pier in Chicago. Majs. John Sanchez and Rafael Medina and 1st Sgt. Connie Brannock (not shown) were presented with awards for "Excellence in Military Service" for distinguishing themselves in the war on terrorism by activities that best represent the ideals of duty, honor and country, and for epitomizing the core values and citizen-warrior attributes of the Army. The theme for the military breakfast was: "Empowering Latinos, Building Prosperity through Partnerships."
