FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The Fort Bragg Directorate of Family and Welfare, Morale and Recreation launched a new program, MWR Perks, on April 1. This program offers discounts at a variety of DFWMR facilities to all authorized identification card holders who sign up for the Perks program.
Club memberships are gone. The FMWR Perks program is here. It is not a membership program. Money generated from FMWR Perks goes back to the community for projects such as the Dragon Lanes Bowling Alley renovation. A customer may purchase FMWR Perk cards for three, six or 12 months. No one is mandatorily locked in for a year unless the 12-month card is chosen.
"The customer pays a fee, depending on rank, and receives discounts at all the FWMR facilities," said Lori Bruschi, Family and Welfare, Morale and Recreation marketing director.
"The card offers discounts on daily purchases; a special birthday gift; VIP treatment at major events; special ticket and product giveaways; special insider information on events; online coupons and complete list of extras and awards."
The FMWR Perk program is a collaborative effort by the Executive Committee composed of all the FWMR division chiefs to implement a funds generating venue. "We are excited about the program giving back to the military community. This effort is similar to a customer loyalty program," Bruschi added.
Appreciation is shown to customers who use the FWMR facilities by way of the FMWR Perks program.
A number of cards have been sold since April and 12-month choice is very popular. The customer receives a free coupon book and an end of the year $5 dollar gift certificate for choosing the full year option. So far, the feedback is very positive and giveaways are well received.
