PICATINNY ARSENAL, N.J. - A Good Morning, Morris breakfast was held by the Morris County Chamber of Commerce at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, N.J., April 9.

The breakfast, which is a networking tool for many in the chamber, is held approximately once every month or every other month and allows members to listen to accomplished guest speakers, as well as meet other community members and build up community awareness and involvement.

In what would be his final meeting with the chamber, Picatinny Garrison Commander Lt. Col. John P. Stack received a standing ovation as Paul Boudreau, the chamber's president, hailed Stack as a great community leader and friend to all.

A new garrison commander will assume Stack's position during a change of command ceremony at Picatinny later this month.

Stack has been the Picatinny Garrison Commander since June 2007 and is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Morris, a 10-month course offered to business professionals providing them with the knowledge of the opportunities, challenges and the institutions and people of Morris County.

After saying farewell to Stack, the chamber also recognized a tremendous supporter of the Army and Picatinny.

Joseph Nazzaro, Executive Director of Leadership Morris, presented Richard Eastman, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, with the Leadership Morris Alumni Achievement award.

Eastman serves in many positions that support the Army and its Soldiers and their Families.

He serves as the Assistant to the New Jersey's Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, has a position on the New Jersey National Guard State Family Readiness Council Grants committee and is a representative in the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.

Eastman has also been a strong supporter of Picatinny's Army Community Covenant, which fosters and sustains effective state and community partnerships with the Army in order to improve the quality of life for Soldiers and their Families.
