YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea - Three U.S. Soldiers were awarded badges of honor by the Republic of Korea Army at a ceremony here April 14 to commemorate their distinguished service in support of ROK-U.S. aviation.

Chief Warrant Officer Geraldine A. Bowers, aviation maintenance officer, and Chief Warrant Officer Bobbie T. Schweikart, aviation safety manager, were presented the ROK Army Master Aviation Badge by Brig. Gen. Kim Wang-kyung, chief, Operations Division, Ground Component Command.

Bowers and Schweikart are assigned to 8th Army's G-3 Aviation Branch.

The ROK Army Master Maintenance Badge was awarded to Bowers' father, Pfc. Bernard P. Siegel, for his service during the Korean War. Siegel served as a H-19 helicopter ground crew member.

Bowers accepted Siegel's award on behalf of her father.
