James Albada-O'Malley, a tank gunner assigned to 2nd Battalion, 12 Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, performs a system check on his radio equipment prior to convoying out to the Blackwell Multi-Use Range, April 8. Albada-O'Malley, originally from Everett, Wash., is preparing for the upcoming deployment with his unit this fall.
