Easter Sunrise Service At Arlington National Cemetery

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY

The annual Easter Sunrise Service hosted by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington will be held on Sunday, April 4 in the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery.

The non-denominational worship service will begin with a prelude by the United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" at 6:15 a.m. The service is scheduled to begin with a call to worship at 6:30 a.m. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free parking will be available in Arlington National Cemetery's Visitors Center parking lot and at the Fort Myer Old Post Chapel for DoD ID card holders. A free shuttle bus service will begin at 5:30 a.m. from both locations. Walking to the amphitheater will be prohibited.

This year's Easter sermon will be delivered by the Rear Adm. Mark Tidd, chaplain of the U.S. Marine Corps and deputy chief of Navy chaplains. An interpreter for the hearing impaired will be present.
