REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - Brig. Gen. Christopher Tucker, commander, U.S. Army Security Assistance Command, recently hosted the public grand opening of the Team Redstone interactive display located in the new wing of Huntsville International Airport.
"[This display] serves as the first visual strategic communications tool for Team Redstone by providing more than 600,000 airline passengers annually - visitors and residents alike - a comprehensive, content-rich informational display that effectively communicates our organizational missions, programs, high-tech capabilities and synergy of Redstone Arsenal, with the primary focus on - the warfighter," said Tucker.
The 20-foot display brings together information about the more than 50 organizations on Redstone Arsenal, collectively referred to as "Team Redstone." Through an interactive touch-screen system, visitors can select any of the represented organizations and learn more about them.
Tucker led a team of individuals in cutting the ribbon including those from the Huntsville Airport Authority, Media Fusion, Chapman Sisson Architects, U.S. Army Materiel Command, U.S. Army Space and Missile Command, Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Army Redstone-Garrison, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command, PEO-Missiles and Space, PEO-Aviation, Redstone Test Center, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center, Missile and Space Intelligence Center, 2nd Recruiting Brigade, 2nd Medical Recruiting Battalion, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, NASA, Security Assistance Management Directorate, Fox Army Health Center, Project Office for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, ASRC Research and Technology Solutions, Southern Convention Services, and AAI Corporation.
Individuals representing these organizations who were integral in the establishment of the display received certificates of appreciates and command coins.
