Sgts. 1st Class Gordon R. Zimmerman and Michael J. Logan, movement sergeants with the 364th ESC, have both reenlisted in the Army Reserve after completing more than 20 years service Aca,!" and retiring.
Aca,!A"I retired Feb. 1, 2006, after a 22-year, 5-month and 27-day career,Aca,!A? Zimmerman said. Aca,!A"I came back early last year, because the Army is my other family,Aca,!A? he added.
The two veteran sergeants have known each other for years, and have served in the same unit before. Logan said he had reasons similar to ZimmermanAca,!a,,cs for pulling his combat boots out of the closet.
Aca,!A"I was in the military for 23 years,Aca,!A? Logan, who retired in 2007, said. Aca,!A"After six months, I missed the people, and I missed my uniform.Aca,!A?
Logan said another reason he came out of retirement was the opportunity to keep doing his part for the country.
