FORT McPHERSON, Ga. -- The Army Ground Forces BandAca,!a,,cs Aca,!A"Sound the TrumpetsAca,!A? will feature the U.S. PresidentAca,!a,,cs official fanfare ensemble, The Army Herald Trumpets, at the Ferst Center for the Arts at Georgia Tech, 8 p.m., Saturday, March 6.
The free concert will also showcase two of the bandAca,!a,,cs top-notch Soldier-musicians, Staff Sgt. Byron Bartosh and Spc. Kailin Eskander, who will perform trumpet and English horn solos respectively in Aaron CoplandAca,!a,,cs Aca,!A"Quiet City.Aca,!A?

Founded in 1959 and patterned after traditional British Aca,!A"fanfareAca,!A? trumpet ensembles, The Army Herald Trumpets has been featured with orchestras from around the world, including, the National Symphony Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the
Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops and the Cincinnati Pops. The Herald Trumpets has also performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and the Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City.

The Army Ground Forces Band serves as an outreach asset for the ArmyAca,!a,,cs largest command, U.S. Army Forces Command, headquartered at Fort McPherson.
As just one of only three Army bands with a national touring mission, the Army Ground Forces Band travels the nation, performing at local, regional and national events. The band also conducts master classes and clinics for music students at high schools and colleges around the country.
The 64 Soldiers assigned to the AGFB have passed highly selective auditions and are among the finest musicians in the United States Army Band Program. The majority of the band's members have studied music at some of the finest universities and conservatories.
