Col. Robert L. Howard laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery

Soldiers from the 3rd Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard" render military honors at the funeral of Col. Robert L. Howard, one of America's most highly decorated Soldiers.  Howard was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery Feb. 22, after serving his country for nearly half a century.

A Soldier from the 3rd Infantry Regiment "The Old Guard" carries the Medal of Honor flag at the funeral of Col. Robert L. Howard Feb. 22.  Howard was buried in Section 7A of Arlington National Cemetery, where fourteen Medal of Honor recipients and other heroes are buried.  Howard was one of the most highly decorated Soldiers in Vietnam.
