AMC to demonstrate warfighter technologies at Winter AUSA

FORT BELVOIR, Va.- The U.S. Army Materiel Command will showcase a plethora of new technologies that directly support the warfighter during the Association of the United States Army Winter Symposium and Exposition Feb. 24-26 at the Broward County Convention Center, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

During the exposition, AMC's booth (#1523) will feature:

Aca,!Ac Combat Feeding: An interactive exhibit focusing on the qualities and related aspects of combat ration research, development and fielding. Be prepared to target, sense and enjoy.

Aca,!Ac America's Army: The popular video game provides and interactive demonstration of the Ripsaw, which allows visitors to operate the Ripsaw in a virtual environment.

Aca,!Ac Video Portal: This interactive presentation will take visitors to "other lands" and features sustainment producers.

Aca,!Ac Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Egress Trainer: The MET prepares warfighters on how to react in the event of a vehicle rollover in a safe training environment.

Aca,!Ac Lightweight Counter Mortar Radar Display: A 3-D video case study of Tobyhanna Army Depot's support of the LCMR.

Aca,!Ac New Battery Technologies: Hands-on displays and subject matter experts will demonstrate the BB-5590 battery, Conformal Rechargeable Battery and the new 1.2KW power supply.

Aca,!Ac Autonomous Platform Demonstrator: This hybrid-electric vehicle has advanced and integrated survivability features and can operate in three modes.

Aca,!Ac Army Contracting Command Information: Video, signage, brochures and subject matter experts will be on hand to answer questions on Army contracting and career opportunities.

Aca,!Ac AMC Partnership Program: Information will be available on AMC public and private partnership opportunities at depots, arsenals and plants around the country.

Aca,!Ac Condition Based Maintenance: Will showcase maintenance in pictures and includes a five minute video on Aviation Field Maintenance Directorate featuring Maj. Gen. Jim Myles.

The U.S. Army Materiel Command is the Army's premier provider of materiel readiness - technology, acquisition support, materiel development, logistics, power projection and sustainment - to the total force, across the spectrum of joint military operations.
