RRAD Commander Col. Daniel Mitchell along with other depot members were on hand for the cabin ribbon cutting ceremony on October 22.

The two-story, three bedroom log cabin is indeed one of a kind at Elliott Lake, but it's the first of more to come for Red River's Morale, Welfare and Recreation organization, according to Jim Collins, chief of RRAD's MWR.

The cabin is approximately 1,500 sq. ft. and has three full bathrooms and a large porch over looking Elliott Lake. It is available for renting to civilian and military members.

"There is no other organization that I get more emails and letters about on this depot," said Col. Mitchell while speaking of MWR. "I go to many installations and visit other MWR facilities and I believe yours is the best."

Col. Mitchell presented coins to each member of the MWR staff after the ribbon cutting ceremony.
