SCHINNEN, Netherlands -- Designated as National Military Family Month, November is a time to reflect upon the military family and the contributions each family member makes to our communities and country.
Military Family Appreciation Month is a time to honor the sacrifices of our military families. Army families of Active, Guard, Reserve, veterans, and retirees are giving back in a time of need and sustain and support the Soldiers who defend our Nation. Army Families are Army Strong.
In the Tri-Border region, both U.S. Army Garrison Schinnen's Army Community Service and the Geilenkirchen Airmen & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) will hold events throughout the month to celebrate. These events are open to all military families in the tri-border community, regardless of service branch or rank.
The Annual Army Family Action Plan Conference will be held on Feb. 3 and 4, 2010, at the JFC Conference Center. This conference is an ideal opportunity to participate as a delegate or submit issues that can improve the quality of life for military families in the tri-border region - or the entire Department of Defense.
Check out the schedule below for tri-border events celebrating the Month of the Military Family. For more information about how military families are the tri-border community's number one customer, explore the links to the right.
