Dugway Proving Ground had the honor of hosting two exceptional interns, Aidan Levy and Kyler Sousley for the summer. As part of the Department of Defense (DOD) Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) Internship Program. This 10-week immersive program places high-performing STEM and trade/technical students into hands-on projects across DOD test facilities. It provides students with professional experience in national security, defense technologies, and weapons systems testing.
A Platform for Growth and Opportunity
For Dugway Proving Ground, this collaboration provided an opportunity to work with motivated interns while offering them a chance to develop skills that will serve them in their future careers. For Aidan and Kyler, the program was more than just an internship—it was a transformative experience. By working alongside Dugway’s team members, they gained firsthand insight into the organization’s workflow, participated in day-to-day tasks, and contributed to meaningful projects that align with their career aspirations in computer science.
Both interns emphasized how the program has significantly impacted their professional growth. Aidan stated: The program “Completely changed the trajectory of my career for the better.”
Kyler Sousley echoed this sentiment, while also sharing his fascination with applying his skills in Test & Evaluation (T&E) fields, highlighting the value of discovering the diverse career opportunities available within these domains: “I thought it was fascinating seeing how my skills can apply in the DoD and T&E, as well as learning about the variety of career opportunities that are available.”

The TRMC Internship Program not only benefits the interns but also helps to strengthen Dugway Proving Ground’s ability to innovate and tackle critical projects. By hosting talented students, the organization fosters a pipeline of skilled professionals while contributing to the development of the next generation of STEM leaders.
For our two interns, the summer at Dugway was more than just a stepping stone—it was a doorway to new opportunities. Their experiences gave them the tools they needed that helped them with the technical skills, professional confidence, and industry connections needed to pursue their goals in computer science and defense technologies further helping them in their careers.
