FORT BELVOIR, Va --The Army launched ATIS Education onOctober 1,2025,continuing the expansion of the Army Training Information System for Soldiers and Army Civilians. This effortreflects a broader commitment to delivering scalable,accessibleand mission-aligned learning solutions across the Army.
ATIS Learning now serves as the official platform forCyber Awareness Training, acritical requirement focused on protecting the Army from fraud,abuseand cyber threats. This mandatorytraining isrequiredfor all ArmySoldiersandCivilians,and its launch onMarch23,2026,highlightshow1.4 million userscanget the training theyneed,when they need it.
“The migration of core training requirements to the ATIS Learning platform represents a significant milestone of modernization,” stated Dr. Sabrina L. Green, supervisory instructional systems specialist for the Army Transformation and Training Command.
“Functional Centers of Excellence have reported a seamless transition, highlighting a friction-free user experience that has successfully enabled over 114,000 user completions while preserving training compliance across the force.”
By transitioning this training into ATIS Learning, the Army ensuresamore intuitive learner experienceusing a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)learningmanagement system,as well asgreater system reliability and scalabilityand improvedcompletiontracking and compliance.This is more than amigration; it isa modernization of how essential knowledge is delivered andretained.
“Our use of COTS solutions for ATIS Learning and ATIS Education has enabled the team to deliver innovative learning capabilities for the Army with speed and efficiency,”saidDoug Haskin, project manager for Acquisition Training and Readiness at Capability Program Executive Enterprise Software and Services. “This approach accelerates delivery timelines, reduces development complexity and enables faster access to modern learning tools across the force.”
ATIS Education continues to expand as the Army’s solution for synchronous, instructor-led training.It serves 16 schools and organizations within the Army, and it enables real-time instruction across distributed environments, enhancing collaboration between instructors and learners.As ATIS Education scales, it directly supports the retirement of legacy systems, resulting in measurable cost savings and reduced technical complexityfor the Army.
ATIS Learning and ATIS Education form a cohesive learning ecosystem that supports asynchronous self-paced, on-demandlearning and synchronouslive, instructor-ledlearning.This dual capability ensures the Army can meet diverse training needs whilemaintainingconsistency and efficiency across platforms.
