HONOLULU, Hawaii – In May, the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command Integrated Logistics Support Center Artificial Intelligence-Assisted Maintenance team showcased AIAM at the 2026 Land Forces Pacific Symposium and Exposition.
LANPAC 2026 brought military leaders from across the globe together under the shared theme of “Continuous Transformation”. Hosted by the Association of the United States Army, LANPAC 2026 was attended by senior leaders from 32 nations and an unprecedented 18 Chiefs of Armies, underscoring a shared commitment to strengthening the network of allies and partners dedicated to preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
From its booth on the conference floor of the event, the ILSC AIAM team was able to demo the application to a large number of stakeholders and partners. AIAM will serve as one way the Army tackles the logistic challenges posed in the Indo-Pacific region, ensuring that our armed forces remain combat ready. Numerous Soldiers also spent time at the AIAM booth, and the ILSC team taught them how the tool may be integrated into their daily maintenance routine.
As of now, AIAM has five workflows: General Query, Operation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, and Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services. AIAM supports all roles in the maintenance process – operator, maintainer, and supervisor. Within AIAM, all equipment history is logged and may be viewed easily from the Logistics Assistance Representative or supervisor’s perspective, allowing them to see how a system has been maintained. In turn, this data feeds AIAM’s predictive analytical capabilities. If the operator or maintainer cannot complete maintenance processes solely through the guidance of AIAM, tickets are escalated to an on-call LAR who first attempts to address the issue via telemaintenance before issuing boots on the ground support if necessary.
CECOM ILSC AIAM team member Suk-Hwan Kim noted the attention that AIAM received from Soldiers at the event, saying, “Soldiers from the 307th were really interested, and more events like this will help to promote our capabilities. We need to let the Soldiers know that this is for them, so they can see the urgent need for its widespread integration.”
Kim’s observations are echoed by other internal AIAM stakeholders, who see the tool as a practical solution for both Army maintenance and prevention via predictive analytics. “It’s important to keep an open lane with non-commissioned officers to learn about this technology, do their homework, and help teach the Soldiers,” said Kim. AIAM has 2,000 regular users, and that number is expected to grow exponentially as awareness spreads.
Events like AUSA LANPAC allow NCOs and Soldiers to integrate emerging technologies and operational concepts, helping the Army innovate in a fluid battlefield environment. In the evolving military landscape, tools like AIAM will go a long way to ensuring the Army remains fully prepared to defend our country and our strategic partners.
